Separate stabilizer boards from the SLF Inserts.

STBBRD 24 1 7/16” X 22 ½”

STBBRD 36 1 7/16” X 34 ½”

SLF Inserts 1 ¼” X 34 5/16”

Prefit the insert into the dado to insure correct placement between the dovetails. Run a bead of glue into the dado.

Place the insert into the dado. Make sure to keep the insert between the dovetails. 1 3/16” brads can be placed to hold insert into place while glue dries.

This is what a finished piece should look like.

Stand both side panels of cabinet on their front edge so that they are parallel and mirror each other. Distance them as to match the final width of cabinet as much as possible.

When working with larger cabinets, insert a Shelf into the middle dovetails of both side panels.
The 23mm predrilled hole should be on top, matching the other hole, the dovetails should be facing each other. 23mm hole is used for the 7/8” dowel.
Slide the remaining shelves into place from the back side of the side panels.   Be careful to push remaining shelves in with equal pressure on both sides to avoid binding or breaking. If shelves have inserts they should be mounted with the inserts at the top or bottom respectively to place them outside the cabinet box.
Be sure to turn the cabinet over to insure the shelves are flush with the side panels. Place a 1 3/16” brad into the front and back of the shelves.   The brads hold the shelves to the sides. Make sure the shelves are flush with the front of the side panels.

Hang, secure and level the cabinet according to Chapter 1.
Make sure to use at least 3 ea 1 1/4” Wood Screws to secure the cabinets to each other. One below the top shelf, one in the center of the cabinet, and one just above the bottom shelf.   Predrilling for screws is recommended.
  Continue to 3. Pegboard Cabinet
