8. Finishing - Door & Top Cap Adjustment

Use a Chalk Line to make level, horizontal lines on the installation wall at the following points:

For all cabinets except the workbench, mark a level line at 72" from the floor for the rail, and a line at 82" (10" higher) as a leveling line for the tops of the cabinets.

For a workbench, mark a level line at 25-1/2" from the floor for the rail and at 35-1/2 (10" higher).

Assemble the hinges: Put the hinge and plate together as shown.

45 degree Hinge is used on corner cabinets only.

Tighten the back screw.

Place hinge into the pre-drilled cup hole in the door.

Tap into place using a rubber mallet.

Line up the Hinge Plate with the pre-drilled holes in the Side Panels. This will place the door in the proper position.

Screw in Euro Screws provided. Adjust hinges by using the front and rear screws. Tightening the front screw narrows the gap. Loosening the front screw widens the gap. Align the gap between the doors to 1/8". The rear screw is loosened to allow the door to move in or out and then retightened to hold the adjustment.

Each hand has two screws provided.

Place the Handle Jig (if supplied, or makr your own) from the top of the cabinet on all 6' cabinets. (This can be adjusted according to the customer preference.) Drill screw holes through jig holes.

Upper Cabinets: Line the bottom of the jig up with the bottom of the cabinet door. Drill screw holes through jig holes.

Workbench Cabinets: Line the top of the Handle Jig up with the top of the cabinet door. Drill screw holes through jig holes.

The handle jig can be used for the melamine cabinets as well as the standard unfinished cabinets.

Place the alignment guide on the handle jig on the edge of the door. Measure down to the right height. Drill the pair of holes next to the handle only. (Drill each door separately).

Mount handles using screws provided.

Apply Bumpers ot the shelf 1/2" away from the adjacent door.

Set the Top Cap Shelves in place and align with the front and side of the cabinet. Use brads to secure to the sides.
