Hang the Steel Rail according to Chapter1: Rail Rod Hanging. The suggested height of the bottom of the Steel Rail for the Workbench is 25-1/2". |
The measurement for the rail may be adjusted according to your needs; However, with this measurement the work top will measure approximately 36" from the ground. Also be careful to allow enough room between your upper cabinets and work bench top to hang the pegboard. |
Assemble the cabient according to Chapter 2: Cabinet Assembly. |

Turn the cabinet upside down and mount the Leveler Leg Tops approximately 1/2" from the cut edge of the dovetail and 1" in from the front of the Bottom Shelf. Place the legs into the Leveler Tops. |
Mount the cabinet(s) on the Steel Rail and secure. (Refer to Chapter 1: Rail Rod Hanging Instructions.) |
Use the levelers to level the cabinet as well as to give additional support to the workbench. |
Clamp the Workbench Modules together and use at least 3 ea 1 1/4" Wood Screws to secure the modules to each other. One below the top shelf, one in the center of the cabinet, and one just above the bottom shelf. |

Place a level on the top of the cabinet. Raise or lower the leveler legs until level. |
Place a Stabilizer 24 (1-/16" x 22-1/2") at the front of the cabinet between the Workbench Top and the Top Shelf of the cabinet. Use 1 3/16" brads to secure the Stabilizer Board from under the Top Shelf. |
Clamp the Workbench Top in place, 1" beyond the front of the cabients. |
Mark for drilling each corner of the Workbench Top 3" from the front and back and 2" from each sides. |
Secure the Workbench Top to the Shelf with (4) JC Bolts. Use a 3/8" drill bit to drill (4) holes through the Workbench Top and the Top Shelf of the cabinet in the designated spots. Secure the Workbench Top to the top Shelf with (4) JC Bolts. |
Line up the nut with the bolt before running the nut up into the bottom of the top shelf. |
Insert the JC Insert nut from the bottom of the top Shelf through the Workbench Top. |
