Kathryn, This is my second set of GSC's.  I really appreciated the comprehensive instruction information Richard sent with the cabinets.  I knew from the first installation of the cabinets in my previous home that there were some "tricks of the trade" so to speak that would make the installation more accurate and expeditious and I would suggest that anyone considering installing the cabinets buy the video on installation and/or review the installation instructions completely before beginning.  I also had an handy neighbor help me with the installation.  We installed the cabinets in about 10 hours and they look great.  I will be ordering a few more special items from GSC in the near future as time permits for me to make special additions to the work area.
 
You may be able to see in the pictures that some of these cabinets are heavily loaded.  In fact I actually got in one of the cabinets, like your people did in the advertisement, just to test the strength up to my 230 lbs.  No problem.  These cabinets have made all the difference in that I don't have anything on the floor and can keep my garage clean and organized.  I can find things quickly that were in boxes stacked in the corner of the garage and took a lot of time searching to find in the past.

The garage storage cabinets turned out wonderful! We made the "self installation" of the garage storage cabinets a father-son project. It transformed our garage into a cleaner, organized, and functional feature of our home. We particularly like the way the cabinets are a permanent feature to our garage, unlike other products on the market.

Well Jim,Your customer service with Richard was great and my wife told me you guys called to see if I had any questions.  I thought that was really nice to do that.  Please don't stop doing that because I hope you are aware that so many companies don't really care about the consumer after the purchase.
 
I've got to say these cabinets look really sharp even unpainted.  So, I think I'll just have to leave them like they are.  I did adjust my layout a little and it was really easy to do thanks to your system.
 
I thought I'd pass something along to you and maybe you could pass it on to other "self installers".  The big 72" cabinets are a load to get up on the wall by ones self.  What I did after the first one was to use my shop jack.  I just tilted the cabinet away from my to get  the jack under it and then eased it down on top of the jack then rolled it to the wall and with one hand pumped it up on the wall in total control very easily balancing with one hand.  Once the rails and wooden dowel rod were cleared I simply twisted the jack release on the handle and gently lowered it down on the supports.  No effort at all.  The hinges are great and very easy to adjust. 
 
I weigh 210 and yes I had to climb into one of those after all was said and done.  It held just fine.
 
I adjusted my bench so that my working height was a little bit higher.  I'm 6'3" so I just had to put some stacked 2x4's underneath.  No big deal.
 
Well, that's all the air I'm going to take up for now.  Thanks for the great pricing and I may be in contact with you later for another 72incher.  I'm still shuffling things around to see what works best.
